Daniela Vono de Vilhena is Deputy Executive Secretary of Population Europe in Berlin, hosted by the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research. She is also a fellow at the Einstein Center Population Diversity. Daniela has been a postdoctoral researcher at the Comparative Life Course and Inequality Research Centre (CLIC) at the European University Institute, a postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for Longitudinal Educational Research (INBIL) at the University of Bamberg, Germany, and a Research Fellow at the Centre for Demographic Studies, Autonomous University of Barcelona, where she completed her Ph.D in Demography. In June 2024, she received the Outreach Award for Communication in Population Science from the European Association for Population Studies.
