Caravan of Science 2016

From January 13 to 26, the “Wissenskarawane”  (Caravan of Science) gives school students the opportunity to get insights into the research done at research institutes in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. On January 20, the MPIDR opens its doors to about a hundred students.

Once a year, the MPIDR opens its doors to about a hundred students from schools in the Rostock area, introducing them to the world of demography, and showing them how demography is being studied at the MPIDR. Groups of students tour the Institute, visit its labs, and learn about birth, death, and their own lives.
